Main Purpose of the Role

The Salesforce.com Business Analyst will be responsible for the analysis needed for programmes or projects related with the Salesforce.com platform. They will work closely with the business and understand the needs and drivers of the functions they interface with. They will work closely with the project and programme managers to ensure clarity of requirements and delivery of these requirements and associated benefits to the business.

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Work closely with principal stakeholders and process owners, in order to determine the requirement gathering methodologies for the organisation;
  • Identify individual/business requirements and ensure proposals have the necessary approval, before converting into functional specifications that deliver workable solutions;
  • Work with consumers of documented materials to ensure they are fit-for-purpose and clearly understood;
  • Participate in regular reporting and governance committees in line with existing Programme and Project Management processes and controls;
  • Defend the technical integrity of any proposed solutions at high level forums, relying on a familiarity with Telecom related IT systems architecture;
  • Confidently challenge existing methods, whilst defending completion of post-delivery business adoption, e.g. technical specification documents, process flows & training material;
  • Understand requirements from business users and translate them into user stories, generate documented requirements that can be used by other members of project and delivery teams to develop and deliver solutions, & prioritise work based on business needs

 

Skills and Experience Required

  • 2 years of past experience in Salesforce.com technologies
  • Excellent structured analytics, interviewing / questioning skills;
  • Strong listening and presentation skills;
  • Mobile Telecommunications industry experience preferred, but not mandatory;
  • Preferred expertise in one or more of the following processes:  sales, marketing, provisioning, fulfilment, in-life, billing & regulatory;
  • Understanding of how a development and/or network team operates;
  • Ability to interface between business needs and technical delivery capabilities;
  • Managing and driving change based on analysis of quantifiable metrics;
  • Excellent communication, reporting, interpersonal and analytical problem solving skills;
  • Ability to work across cross-functional and cultural boundaries;
  • Adaptable to change and thrives in a fast-paced environment;
  • Numerically astute with hands-on excel skills;
  • University degree, engineering or business major preferred;
