Main Purpose of the Role

The role is to provide and manage internal IT support including all hardware, systems and applications. You will be working as part of a team who provide 24/7 IT support to all employees globally. You will be required to work in a shift rotation to ensure 24/7 IT support cover is available.

Key Responsibilities

  • Answer and log IT service requests received via helpdesk, IM, or email.
  • Provide 1st contact technical problem analysis and resolution of staff issues with the aid of available Service Desk tools (e.g. Remote Support, FAQs, Troubleshooting Guides, and Knowledge base articles). Log actions taken and resolution.
  • Where 1st contact resolution is not possible escalate calls to the appropriate resolving group as required.
  • Installing and configuring computer systems.
  • Investigating, diagnosing and solving computer software and hardware faults.
  • Talking to internal users to determine the nature of problems.
  • Responding to breakdowns.
  • Ensures the network and IT equipment reliability and availability are being met.
  • Conducts both preventive and corrective maintenance of the network facilities.
  • Monitors ageing tickets and ensures that they are escalated or resolved in the quickest possible time
  • Conduct IT induction for new employees.

Skills and Experience Required

  • 1-2 years of working in a front-line technical IT support environment.
  • Proven experience managing day to day work load, knowing when to prioritise and the ability to work self-sufficiently.
  • Demonstrated the ability to work in a team environment with a positive attitude towards sharing expertise and assisting others to learn.
  • MCSA is desirable but not essential.

Technical Skills Required

  • Microsoft Windows Server Active Directory Administration 2008
  • TCP/IP networking and experience with DHCP, DNS, SIP
  • Knowledge with VoIP systems and devices (Asterisk knowledge is a plus)
  • Strong troubleshooting skills with Windows systems (Windows 7, Windows 10, Server 2008) including Microsoft Office 2013/2016
  • Knowledge with VMWare technology
  • Solid experience with Microsoft Exchange, Office 365, and Skype for Business
  • Knowledge with Linux system is a plus
  • Good telephone manner and remote troubleshooting skills
  • Experience in working with global teams
  • At least two years’ experience in a similar role.
  • Excellent oral and written communication (English)
